We’re delighted to welcome back to Wayward Coffeehouse author and speaker Alan Kistler on Sat, June 4, 2016 for a presentation on “Time Lords, Prime Directives, and Superheroes: A Chat About Morality, Power and Accountability in Pop Culture”.
Pop Culture historian Alan Kistler, author of the New York Times Best Seller “Doctor Who: A History” and contributor to books such as “Star Trek Psychology” and “Captain America VS Iron Man,” discusses how superhero comics, Doctor Who, recent movies, and other stories handle the idea of people using great power to battle evil and how much responsibility they do or don’t take for the consequences.
We’re so excited to announce a new delicious item on our menu. Introducing COLD BREW iced coffee at Wayward Coffeehouse! Many of you have asked about cold brew and we listened! Cold brew (aka Toddy) is a slow extraction method that results in a less acidic coffee perfect for iced coffee drinks! Stop by soon and try this delicious new menu item!
Emerald City Comic Con is this weekend (April 7-10) and our favorite Captain, Capt. Mal Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) will be there! Be sure to say Ni Hao to him and ask him to stop by Wayward Coffeehouse again while he’s in Seattle! It would be very gorram shiny to see him back at Wayward!
Of course, there are many awesome guests at ECCC this year, and we’d be delighted to welcome any one of them to the coffee haven for geeks! We’d be pretty gorram thrilled if Patrick Rothfuss stopped by (hey, there’s an open Writer’s Group meeting tonight at Wayward …someone let Patrick know!)
As a reminder, Nathan stopped by Wayward Coffeehouse back in 2013 …
